2. What This Policy Covers
Under applicable law — including the EU ePrivacy Directive and GDPR — browser sessionStorage and localStorage are subject to the same transparency requirements as cookies. This policy covers both.
3. Technologies Used by SpeechWriter AI
3.1 Strictly Necessary — Browser SessionStorage
Technically essential for the Service. Stored only on your device. Automatically cleared when the browser tab is closed. No consent required (ePrivacy Directive, recital 66).

3.2 Third-Party — Stripe
When you proceed to checkout, Stripe may use cookies and device signals (via Stripe Radar, its fraud prevention system). Legal basis: legitimate interest (fraud prevention), Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

3.3 Analytics
SpeechWriter AI does not currently use third-party analytics cookies. Usage data is derived solely from anonymised, aggregated server logs (Vercel), purged after 30 days.
4. AI Transparency
No cookies or local storage technologies are used to profile users for AI training purposes. Speech form data is processed in real-time to generate the requested output and is not retained for model training.
5. California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)
SpeechWriter AI does not sell or share personal information collected through cookies or local storage for cross-context behavioural advertising. To exercise CCPA rights: support@writemymoments.com
6. How to Manage Cookies
Since SpeechWriter AI only uses strictly necessary browser storage and Stripe's fraud-prevention technologies, no consent banner is required at this time.
To clear sessionStorage or block local storage via your browser:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Clear browsing data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Firefox: Options → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
Note: clearing sessionStorage will prevent the speech form from functioning during checkout.
